This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is making a significant impact on environmental sustainability.Your new role As a Legal Policy Officer, you will play a crucial role in drafting legislative instruments and supporting the establishment of a new regulator. Your responsibilities will include: Drafting legislative instruments and preparing drafting instructions Providing legal advice and support on regulatory functions Engaging with industry and stakeholders to ensure compliance and enforcement Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve objectives What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have: A law degree and experience in drafting legislative instruments or preparing drafting instructions Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders Experience in a regulatory environment is highly desirable. You must be an Australian Citizenship citizen and hold a baseline clearance.
