Job Title: AUS Packaging Operator Department: NSW Packaging Business Unit: Factors Group Australia Reports to: AUS Director, Operations Location: Sydney, NSW, Australia Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am- 3:30pm flexible as required Pay Schedule: Hourly Job Summary: The Packaging Operator packages finished products in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) regulations, while considering the company’s commitment to our seven Core Values such as Sustainability in the planning and implementation of all actions related to your area of responsibility. Job Responsibilities: Cleaning and sanitizing machines and work areas Equipment adjustments to set equipment to meet specified quantity on work order Changing equipment and machine parts as needed Prepare packaging line for operation by filling equipment with product and bottles Ensure caps, seals, labels, lot number and expiry date are correct Periodically check bottle weights and make adjustments where required Packaging bottles in boxes and labeling boxes Assemble boxes and trays Accurately complete all necessary paperwork Follow and adhere to all given instructions including work procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Strictly adhere to and observe all safety policies as outlined in the company policies and training sessions Other duties as assigned Requirements: Technical High school diploma or equivalent Strong command of the English language; this includes understanding all written and verbal communication and the ability to communicate back Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot and perform machinery maintenance Basic math skills and the ability to operate a computer and programs Physically capable of standing for an entire shift excluding breaks Physically capable of lifting up to 15kg and bending numerous times throughout a shift The ability to multitask while maintaining excellent attention to detail Organized along with strong record management and inventory skills Knowledge of regulations and procedures of production lines and product Previous experience working with SYSPRO and SharePoint considered an asset Previous packaging experience and knowledge of cGMP considered an asset Attributes Ability to work in a team environment is essential Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines Positive attitude; adaptable to change Respect for authority and company policy Safety conscious This position is open to all qualified applicants who are legally entitled to work in the country in which this job is located.
