Aboriginal Community Engagement & Culture Officer - Talent Pool - Griffith, Albury & Wagga Division: Corrective Services NSW Location: Griffith, NSW, AU, 2680 Aboriginal Community Engagement and Culture Officer Talent Pool Corrections Services NSW (Identified Position) Location: Griffith, Albury and Wagga Wagga Community Corrections Employment Type: Ongoing/Temporary Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6 Salary starting from $97,027 plus Employer’s contribution to Superannuation and Annual Leave Loading This position is open to Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants only. Your role As an Aboriginal Community Engagement and Culture Officer, you will provide advice and support to Community Corrections in the case management of identified offender groups in a culturally sensitive manner and ensure appropriate case plans and supervision are implemented consistent with CSNSW mission of reduction of re-offending. You will also identify and build collaborative community networks and partnerships to improve the effectiveness of community offender programs for identified offender groups. At Community Corrections, we aim to reduce the impact of crime on the community by effectively case managing offenders to achieve resettlement and successful order completion. What we’re looking for Demonstrated understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities. Experience in providing advice and support in a culturally sensitive manner. Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative community networks and partnerships.
