Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage , identify as being Aboriginal and be accepted in the community as such. What You'll Be Doing To provide flexible, holistic and culturally sensitive health services to Aboriginal clients and the community to achieve better health outcomes and better access to health services for Aboriginal people within the Mid North Coast Local Health District. You will be working with the Substance Abuse in Pregnancy and Parenting Service (SUPPS) (Women Business). Hold or aspire to hold a minimum of Certificate III Qualification in Aboriginal Primary Health Care. Have an understanding of Aboriginal culture and historical contexts which influence relevant Aboriginal health and other national and State policies/strategies.
