Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker - Team Leader (Identified) Cultural Assessment and Liaison Team, Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Service (ATODS) Program Area, Townsville Townsville Hospital and Health Service is the public healthcare provider for the government areas of Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers, Flinders, Richmond, Hinchinbrook and Palm Island. We operate 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital. In this Team Leader role you will provide operational oversight to a cluster of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers, working within our ATODS Program Area. Please note, this is an identified position - under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. Remuneration package of up to $132,567 p.a. Salary range: $98,555 to $116,189 p.a. (+ applicable allowances/benefits (HWF4). 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading and 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Provide individual cultural support and advocacy to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People accessing clinical services delivered by the ATODS. Provide professional/cultural supervision and/or peer support to Mental Health Service Group Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Clinicians as required. Work collaboratively with the Townsville ATOD service Team Leaders to ensure that the care for consumers, family and community who identify as Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander is culturally safe. Role requirements: The successful candidate must hold a Diploma in: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or; Diploma of Mental Health or Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs.
