Here at Wesbeam, we recognize the true value of our people and the necessity to evolve and grow with the market. Our St Mary's site is looking for the right person to fill the role of Account Manager. The site operates Monday - Friday, and our preferred hours for you to work will be a fixed roster, from Monday – Friday (40 hours per week), between the hours of 7.00 AM and 6.00 PM. Your focus will be on managing and developing Wesbeam’s customer distribution channels in the NSW/ACT Metropolitan and regional areas. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in sales, customer service, and logistics, preferably in the building materials sector. You have the ability to build and maintain rapport, you are people-focused, self-motivated, and have the desire to succeed. You can work both independently and with others to achieve great results. Your duties will include: Timely visits to customers, gathering information that may affect sales progress, so that it may be dealt with in a professional manner. Manage customer expectations by proactively providing accurate and timely updates on product lead times, working closely with Wesbeam’s supply chain and logistics. Meet or exceed sales and product mix targets. Effectively manage and follow up on product quality issues, should they occur. Attend regular sales and operations meetings. Recommend solutions to problems encountered in the preparation of account contracts and conclude negotiations with the customer. Establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders in the NSW/ACT customer base. Manage day-to-day queries such as pricing and delivery requests, technical queries, quality enquiries, and other sales activities. Work with Merchant and Fabricator representatives to promote Wesbeam’s brand position through trade nights, training sessions, and industry events. Effectively maintain and manage a CRM database. Provide regular and timely market intelligence to support Wesbeam’s pricing, product, and channel strategies. Develop a strong understanding of the building market, defining and implementing opportunities to grow Wesbeam’s market share. Minimum Requirements: Previous experience in sales, customer service, or logistics role. A proven track record within the building and construction industry is imperative to the role. Ability to read and interpret residential building plans. Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, with the ability to own and prioritize multiple streams of work. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and deliver to agreed deadlines, with a results-driven approach. Ability to build and maintain working relationships with customers, colleagues, and the executive team. Desired Selection Criteria: Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant study area is preferred but not essential. Proof of Australian Working Rights. Current Australian Driver’s Licence. Current Australian White card.
