MP Recruitment are partnered with an established boutique accounting firm based in Canberra who are expanding their team in 2025!There are opportunities from Accountant to Senior Manager. At the senior end, you will be playing a pivotal role in the leadership team, ensuring the highest standards of compliance, accuracy, and client satisfaction. You’ll get to support business owners from a variety of industries, from sole traders to multimillion-dollar businesses and recognised brands.Variety of responsibilities dependent on experience: Provide expert advice on complex tax matters with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. Review compliance work prepared by the team to ensure a high level of accuracy. Lead and support business advisory projects, including tax planning, management reporting, budgeting/forecasting, estate planning, and other strategic tasks. Oversee and grow a portfolio of SME clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships built on trust and exceptional service. Deliver effective on-the-job training and support for team members to achieve their full potential. Collaborate with the Director and other managers to implement practice-wide strategies and initiatives and contribute to business strategic planning. Maintain accountability for team performance and adherence to policies and procedures. Your background: Previous management experience (more senior roles). Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CA qualification. Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Clear Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Workflow Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
