Rheinmetall Defence Australia Pty Ltd in Brisbane You will join a team of Finance professionals reporting through to one of our Finance Managers, working collaboratively and inclusively supporting each other for the business’s success. You will be based at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence in Redbank and also have opportunities to work in Fortitude Valley Office. About the Role The Accounts Receivable Controller is responsible for the company's invoice processing and is the main contact for invoicing in accordance with the milestone/payment schedules in the contract. The candidate will handle all of the steps involved with the day-to-day entering and processing of sales orders, invoicing, accounts receivable reconciliation, collection of invoices, and regular reporting on accounts receivable. In performing these activities, the candidate will coordinate with project managers and relevant stakeholders as well as take a leading position in maintaining and recommending any changes to our SAP, Sales and Distribution module. Strong business acumen, reporting skills, intermediate accounting skills, and the ability to reason through ever-changing scenarios are key requirements for this position. Taking the initiative, good math skills, and the ability to anticipate problems before they happen are also essential for success in this position. The candidate must work well with a team of people who are committed to continuing the company's high growth rate. As Accounts Receivable Controller , you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include: Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices to customers based on Milestone Plan, Service agreement, or Purchase Order; Review and check all invoices have been accurately issued containing the necessary information such as payment terms, due dates, correct milestone, S&Q or intercompany recharges descriptions; Receive and process payments from customers, ensuring that they are applied correctly to outstanding invoices; Communicate with customers via phone, email, or written correspondence to resolve outstanding payment issues; Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or payment discrepancies, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders as required; Generate and analyze accounts receivable reports, providing insights on collection trends, outstanding balances, and aging receivables; Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships with customers; Propose and implement process enhancements or automation solutions to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve overall effectiveness; Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards related to accounts receivable and incorporate them into daily operations; and Assist with the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes: Demonstrated ability in the management of customer relationships and the reconciliation of customer accounts; Demonstrated knowledge and experience in accounts receivable and general accounting practices including knowledge of GST and how transactions are processed; Advanced knowledge and experience with an ERP accounting module (SAP preferable); Advanced MS Office skills i.e. MS Excel (VLookUp, Pivot Tables); Strong organisational and time management abilities to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks; and Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
