Active ageing and creative ageing go hand in hand. Keeping the body healthy by walking around and doing strength exercises as well as using the brain for creativity through arts and crafts helps the body age well. If you have a passion for promoting physical activity or crafting art projects, apply to be a volunteer at Bellevue today.Our wonderful Health and Fitness Promoter will give you the resources and expertise required to become an Active Ageing Volunteer. The role will support people to move to and from the dining room and participate in walking groups and other fitness activities.Our lovely Wellness & Lifestyle Manager will support you in your passions and help you create memorable and rewarding experiences with the residents. Creative ageing is using arts and cultural activities to promote imagination and support older people to age well. A sense of accomplishment in older adults for completing both craft and exercise activities. You're never too old to do art or exercise; both keep you engaged and happy. Time commitment Currently, we are looking for a crafter on Mondays from 1 PM to 3 PM and an Active Ageing assistant for Monday and Friday from 9:30 AM to 12 noon. We work with all volunteers to set up the most suitable days and times for you. Any amount of time you can give, whether it’s a few days a week or a few hours a month, is valuable for our community and much appreciated.About Southern Cross Care Southern Cross Care has provided quality aged care and retirement living services to our community for more than 55 years.
