As an Activities Worker, you will assist clients to participate in social support programs that are reflective of their goals and priorities. Activities are run both as a 1:1 ratio, as well as in small groups, providing clients with a range of engaging options that promote and support their well-being. Social support programs aim to allow our clients to remain engaged with their communities through a range of service options that are delivered in line with client preferences, to aid them to live their BEST lives. In this role you will be directly contributing to the overall care of our clients - ensuring that the activities provided are working towards their goals. In this role, you will: Conduct and assist individual and group programs that are respectful and reflective of the goals and priorities of our clients Support our care staff with assessments, review and the ongoing evaluation of Client's goals Provide clients with specific activities reflective of their goals and priorities, through centre based activities, virtual platforms and 1:1 social support that may occur in the home or in the community Encourage and support clients to maximize their independence Contribute to the development of new, innovative programs based on formal and informal feedback from clients, carers and other stakeholders Maintain an environment that provides privacy and dignity for the client About you: You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our clients, to support them to live life to their potential. This is the place for you if you: Have a Certificate III in Aged Care Hold a Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure (desirable) Demonstrated experience in the delivery of social activity programs in a way that supports client independence, via centre based, virtual and 1:1 methods Are known for your caring and compassionate nature Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions Possess a current Working with Vulnerable People card Have Australian working rights and are able to pass a national police clearance Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust) Essentials for working in Aged Care: A current Working With Vulnerable People card/ Working With Children Check card Current and ongoing flu vaccinations Australian working rights Ability to pass a national police clearance Make a positive difference in your community – apply now!
