Key Information Position Type: Full time, fixed term until 06 January 2026 Location: Darwin Salary Range: Admin 4.1 Application Closing Date: 07 February 2025 About the Role: Facilitate the delivery of acute care and emergency management of clients presenting to clinics within Danila Dilba Health Services, by providing high quality, comprehensive and culturally appropriate clinical care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients of the greater Darwin Area. What You Need to Succeed Relevant Nursing qualification and registration as a Nurse with AHPRA. At least 3-5 years post graduate experience with demonstrated advanced clinical skills and competencies applicable to acute/emergency care. Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in cannulation and venepuncture. Current Advanced Life Support certificate. Current accredited immunisation certificate recognised in the NT. Well-developed knowledge of, and contemporary experience in, working with clients with chronic health conditions and relevant management strategies. Knowledge of the social determinants of health (environment, economic and social inequalities) that have a profound impact on the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Demonstrated ability to use culturally sensitive ways to ensure improved client access to DDHS and/or other health services. Proven teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to constructively negotiate outcomes with a diverse range of people and service providers. High level of personal resilience and flexibility with the ability to deal with challenging situations. Demonstrated computer skills, especially in the use of client information systems or similar.
