The Administration / Data Officer is also responsible for the provision of quality and efficient administrative support to the Communicable Disease Control Branch that contributes to the Branch achieving its goals of reducing the transmission and minimising the impact of communicable disease. Immunisation Risk: Category C (minimal patient contact) SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace. Special Conditions: Some out of hours work may be required. The incumbent will participate in special projects as required. The incumbent will uphold the values of the Department of Health as reflected in the Strategic Plan. The incumbent will be required to enter into an annual performance agreement for the achievement of Branch outcomes. Ability to prioritise own workload, to use initiative and problem solving skills to meet deadlines, including working under pressure within tight deadlines. Ability to be self-motivated, work independently under limited supervision and in a team environment. Respect for, and understanding of, confidentiality and privacy provisions. Ability to maintain clear and accurate records. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a diverse range of people. Ability to type at a minimum speed of 45wpm.
