INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing, and transport. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area. Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. The area has excellent education, recreation, cultural, social, and health facilities, and tourism is a developing focus for the region. Administration Officer - Early Years Salary: $70,960.76 per annum pro rata Closing: Friday 28 March 2025 Part Time (24hrs p/w) - Temporary (To 8 October 2025) Do you have a passion for supporting children and families through your great administration skills? Do you have very high-level computer skills with the Microsoft suite and the capacity to learn new programs quickly? Then this position could be for you. We are looking for an individual to work 8:15 to 5:00pm – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This role offers a wide variety of tasks within a supportive department and requires the ability to be flexible and adaptive to variable time frames and responsibilities that support early childhood education and care, and Maternal and Child Health. We are looking for a team player with skills in administration and customer service. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as well as an inclusive response to our diverse community are highly valued in this team. The successful applicant will have a passion for contributing to better outcomes for children and families and will understand the importance of high-quality administration in achieving this outcome. This role is temporary until 8 October 2025. Some flexibility of workdays can be considered for the right candidate.
