Job Description

Provide an efficient and accurate administrative service through the timely provision of medical transcription and typing services. To effectively provide an efficient and accurate administrative service through the timely provision of medical transcription and typing services, along with a range of valuable support duties as directed as part of the administrative team within the Cardiology Program. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Communicate with medical and other staff to ensure delivery of the dictated transcripts within prescribed time requirements. Provide administrative support to clinical nurses within the Cardiology program - booking appointments, rescheduling existing appointments with patients directly, filing, updating patient information on HBCIS and other databases as required, and referral processing as directed. Assist with the minute taking of various meetings within the Cardiology Program. Undertake accurate recording and monitoring of patient information using departmental system applications. Respond to general enquiries via phone, email, and in person. Determine priorities to coordinate and finalize work within the required time-frame. Examine incoming correspondence, papers, and reports to determine action and prepare appropriate replies for consideration and/or dispatch ensuring a high standard of presentation and content quality. Perform filing, mailing, photocopying, and general office duties.
