Working within the Human Resources department, this is a role that will expand your knowledge and experience within HR. We are centrally based at our new premises in Cimitiere Street, Launceston. The Role: The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to Human Resources (HR) staff and clients and will undertake a diverse range of administrative projects and activities, including the coordination and processing of pre-employment data and administration of electronic processes relating to establishment variations and recruitment. Duties: Monitor and maintain the HR mailboxes and respond to general enquiries relating to HR services and refer non-standard / complex enquiries to the relevant HR staff member. Undertake general administrative duties including mail processing, photocopying and scanning, collation and distribution of documents and correspondence, filing, and routine ordering and processing activities relevant to the office environment. Maintain electronic records and information systems for the efficient operation of HR, including the coordination of the conviction checks and Working with Children registration processes. Work within a team environment and undertake a range of tasks as directed by the Manager - Recruitment, including preparation of recruitment-related correspondence, in accordance with established processes and procedures. In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, ensure that the confidentiality of all records, information and enquiries is strictly maintained. You will need: Demonstrated ability to undertake a wide range of administrative tasks in support of Recruitment Services and the broader HR team, delivering results in a timely, accurate and professional manner. A courteous and respectful approach with an ability to maintain confidentiality, display initiative and provide relevant, accurate information to clients, stakeholders and members of the public. Well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate and liaise with a diverse range of people in a polite, sensitive and confidential manner. Details of appointment: 1 Permanent part time, day worker position working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. 1 Fixed term part time, day worker position working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 4 February 2026. * Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $64,125 to $68,925 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
