Job type: Full time / Ongoing, up to 12 months Organisation: Victoria Legal Aid Occupation: Administration/Secretarial Reference: VG/VLA/CL/1840982 Job posted: 24/01/2025 Closes: 07/02/2025 Salary Range: $87,664 - $98,901 Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is seeking an Administrative Services Manager to oversee daily operations, manage administrative staff, and support legal services delivery across our Summary Crime team. About the role In this role, you'll lead and support a team of administrative staff, ensuring everything runs effectively and efficiently to meet our service goals. You'll oversee staff performance, recruitment, induction, training, and managing rosters. You'll also manage the office budget, facilities, and provide legal support. Additionally, you will collaborate with other members of the Criminal Law Melbourne management team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategies to enhance the legal and administrative work practices of administrative and legal staff and support quality service provision. This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country. About you As our ideal candidate, you will possess: Leadership skills and experience in managing and developing staff. Experience in coordinating administrative functions, specifically office procedures and practices. Highly proficient IT skills. Exceptional organisational skills with the capacity to manage changing environments and the ability to prioritise your workload to meet tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds and stakeholders at all levels.
