Purpose: To support clients and families to optimise communication and swallowing throughout their life. An exciting opportunity exists for an Adult Speech Pathologist to join a highly regarded private practice servicing adults and children in stunning Port Macquarie . We offer versatile service delivery options and quality care for adults including specialised voice assessment and treatment, FEES clinics, VFSS clinics, group therapy, education and more. The Position: We are seeking an adult speech pathologist (prior experience preferable) to join our team. Your responsibilities will include: Provision of services at Port Macquarie Private Hospital in acute & rehabilitation wards, Residential Aged Care Facilities, one-on-one therapy in clinic, home visits, Telehealth, communication partner training (CPT) and education. Provision of high-quality evidence-based assessment and treatment across a broad clinical range of practice including dysarthria, aphasia, dysphagia, voice, multimodal/AAC, VFSS & dyspraxia. Working with clients and their families to set goals and develop intervention plans. Providing comprehensive, functional and detailed reports to clients and relevant professionals. Collaboration with other professionals including GP’s, Specialists, Support Workers & Psychologists. Outreach to our surrounding areas may be required. The opportunity may arise for supervision & support to junior staff members or students, depending on candidate’s experience. Why HM Speech? REMUNERATION PACKAGE: Start-up incentive of $2,000, committing to at least 12 months with us. This role is especially exciting for advanced adult clinical skills progression. Want to up-skill in FEES practice or VFSS? We’ve got you covered. You will receive quarantined supervision. We conduct monthly EBP/case conference chats for clinicians to present a complex client for debriefing or latest evidence. We hold bi-monthly meetings for both adult and paediatric clinicians to discuss operational and clinical related topics. We hold quarterly culture & engagement meetings where clinicians have an open forum opportunity to raise concerns and make suggestions for improvements. We have full admin support, so clinicians can focus solely on their clinical work. We have a fabulous new clinic in the heart of Port Macquarie’s medical precinct. Our space is comfortable and inviting whilst providing close access to the private hospital and other medical professionals allowing ample opportunity for multidisciplinary practice. We are a few minutes’ walk from the town centre. Our clinic is bright and colourful and newly decorated with comfortable furniture and plants. We have private parking on-site. CULTURE .
