We are currently seeking an Advanced Project Engineer in the field of Electronic Security to join our Honeywell Building Automation’s team. Reporting to SMW Technical Director, this role is responsible for leading the Security Engineering design team for Sydney Metro West project ( SMW), delivering engineering outcomes related to electronic access control and CCTV across the network from initial design through to final certification in accordance with all contracted documents and referenced standards. Key Responsibilities: Electronic security systems engineering, implementation, integration, and documentation Possess a comprehensive understanding of High Security, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, CCTV and Digital management principles and design Be an expert in translating customer requirements into clear definition of scope Prepare submittals per engineering standards, ensuring commitment dates are met Provide technical direction to project team members Use quality assurance procedures are adhered and ensure defect-free hardware and software to field delivery team Configuring software, bench testing, FAT, and delivering commissioning packages Provision of technical direction and support of project team members, including planning / scheduling and quality assurance Delivery of project engineering requirements within budget, scope, and schedule Sales Assistance and the provision of project estimates Key Experience & Capabilities: Bachelor’s degree in engineering either Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Minimum 5 to 8 years relevant experience in electronic security/building management systems solutions Expertise in electronic security systems engineering (hardware and software) A solid understanding of high-end security applications, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection, Intercom Systems, Integration Platforms, and others Proven ability to build strong stakeholder management Ability to lead a team and manage highly complex large projects/Security Experience in design and construct projects with rail industry (preferred) Ability to direct and be self-sufficient Excellent communicator – both verbal and written Who We Are The Future Is What We Make It at Honeywell.
