About the Role The ideal candidate will bring entrepreneurial excellence, demonstrated industry leadership and deep experience in national/regional business publications. You will oversee the development and execution of impactful sales, marketing and brand strategies to maximise revenue and customer engagement. Your work will ensure Business News continues to grow its influence and reach across the region while maintaining its reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership : Direct the development and implementation of sales strategies, setting ambitious sales targets to maximise revenue and customer loyalty. Ensure systems and processes support sustainable growth and consistent results. Marketing Strategy : Create and execute strategies to promote Business News' products and services, targeting maximum reach and engagement. Develop initiatives to boost consumption through innovative campaigns that reinforce brand loyalty. Brand Development : Lead strategies to enhance and maintain Business News' brand image and reputation. Build meaningful connections with customers, investors and the wider public to solidify the organisation's position as an industry leader. Revenue Growth : Identify and execute on new revenue opportunities, including innovative advertising solutions and market expansions. Strengthen existing revenue streams while developing profitable, repeatable growth models. Reputation Management : Drive efforts to safeguard and enhance Business News' reputation through consistent messaging, high-quality offerings and proactive stakeholder engagement. Operational Excellence : Oversee team performance, establish activity standards and implement measurement tools to ensure goals are met or exceeded. Main Tasks Direct the creation and execution of sales and marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Develop and implement strategies to promote increased consumption of Business News' goods and services. Build loyalty and engagement through targeted customer-focused initiatives. Research and implement strategies to maintain and enhance the organisation's public image and reputation. Oversee team staffing, training and activity aligned with revenue and brand objectives. What We’re Looking For Proven Entrepreneur : A strong track record of success in entrepreneurial roles within national/regional business publications or related industries. Industry Leader : Recognised expertise in the field, with an established network of high-level contacts internationally. Strategic Innovator : Demonstrated ability to develop and execute transformative strategies that drive revenue and customer loyalty. Experienced Manager : 20+ years in national/regional business publications, with at least 15 years in senior management roles. Engaged Advocate : Active involvement in trade organisations such as the Alliance of Area Business Publications or similar entities. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program. Exceptional communication skills, with a strong command of the English language. Proven expertise in project management and strategic planning. Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and inspiring teams. Advanced skills in sales, marketing, copywriting and brand development. A successful career in national/regional business publications, with achievements in launching new products, events or digital initiatives.
