About the role Reporting to the Superintendent of Health & Safety, this role involves implementing and training the Emergency Response team and Safety management system. Additionally, it includes directing and managing the emergency management capability and resources for EHO operations, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and Evolution Practices and Policies. Key responsibilities include: Developing, implementing, and training the emergency response team Captains in emergency protocols and procedures. Actively supporting the Emergency Response Team through the development and delivery of training packages to site personnel. Implementing, training, and supporting the Emergency Response Team (ERT). Developing and maintaining a specific skill set to facilitate the development of the ERT. Supporting the Site Access Control with Fit for Work testing and contributing to the ongoing development and communication of the site’s Health and Safety Management System. Assisting with ERT annual budgeting process and ensuring costs are managed to meet budget expectations. Reviewing, inspecting, and auditing the site's emergency response facilities, processes, and documents to ensure compliance with site and legislative standards. About You The ideal candidate will hold the following qualifications and certificates: Certificate 4 Trainer/Assessor (desirable), Certificate 3 Mines Rescue, Occupational First Aid, and Cert 4 HLT Ambulance Diploma in Emergency Management (desirable). Ideally you will also have HRWL - Forklift (LF), Driver’s License – MR, S1,2,3. Your previous experience should include emergency response, preferably in mining or construction and you should be skilled in a wide range of injury and illness response protocols and techniques. You must have proficiency in Microsoft software and general database use, and competence in writing and reviewing management plans, procedures, and other H&S related system documentation.
