An exciting opportunity has become available for a high performing individual to join the Information Technology branch of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in the permanent role of Advisor Information Security (Governance, Risk & Compliance). In the role of Advisor Information Security you interface with the business system custodians, understanding their requirements and responsibilities, implementing effective information security risk management practices and risk treatment activities linked to these ICT systems. Assisting the Principal Advisor Information Security (Governance, Risk & Compliance) with the establishment and management of the information security work program, inclusive of: Supporting the management of governance bodies, development of required program artefacts, coordination of status and progress reporting against agreed schedule, budget and quality criteria, and gaining agreement on key decisions and change requests. Providing assistance with departmental information security risk assessment activities and actively managing and monitoring this information within the department's information security governance, risk and compliance tool. Interpreting and analysing information security risk and control information. Undertaking research and analysis of current and emerging cyber security industry best practice. Generating specialised information security governance, risk and compliance reports for TMR's systems to support risk-based decisions conducted through TMR's information security governance bodies. Contributing to the preparation of accurate and timely reports; gathering status updates from business stakeholders and governance committees, preparing high quality drafts for final review within timeframes as input to monitoring the performance of the program of work. Building strong relationships and establish networks with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of information security program activities. Coordinating training and appropriate artefacts for the department's Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance tool and processes. Providing high-level administrative support to the team including preparation, monitoring and review of information security documentation.
