Job Description
To use an aeronautical radio without holding a pilots licence, you must hold an Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate by passing the Flight Radio Operator in-house examination. Our two day course provides you with an in-depth knowledge of aeronautical radio systems and their operation, ensuring you are more than ready for the examination and confident in the air. Prerequisites N/A References Aviation Theory Centre’s “Flight Radio for Pilots” textbook AIP ERSA Topics Covered Radio Wave Propagation Components of the Aeronautical Radio Operation of Aeronautical Radios Basic Communication Emergency Procedures Conduct Either 14 x 45 minute lessons over 1.75 days, from 0800 to 1700 hours; OR 4 x 45 minute lessons per day over four evenings, from 1800 to 2200 hours; at the GFT Theory & Briefing Room, Hangar 3, 26-28 Lockheed Close, West Sale Airport, Victoria, 3851.
