About the Role As a Home Care Worker, you will be providing personalised home care support to older Australians in Newcastle and surrounding suburbs to assist them to continue living independently in their own homes. You will travel between clients’ homes, so a willingness to travel up to a 60 km radius will be required. This is a Permanent Part Time opportunity with shifts available between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Sunday, with no evening or overnight shifts. Standard shifts are between 2 to 4 hours in length. We are growing our services in the Newcastle area and this role will initially include some administration and marketing responsibilities while a larger client base is built, and the role will then be purely providing services to clients in their homes. Key Responsibilities Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light house cleaning Community access to medical appointments and social activities Personal Care including grooming and showering Supporting with tasks and routines Build positive relationships with clients Skills & Experience Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar) An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance. Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment) Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
