The Role We are seeking a self-motivated hands-on Agricultural Technician to join our team in a dynamic, fast paced fruit processing environment. Full-time permanent salaried position. 38 hours per week Monday to Friday. Operation hours vary between 6:30am and 5pm. Located at 376A Lobethal Road Ashton SA 5137. Salary between $75,000 – $90,000 More than one position available. Must be available on weekends and nights where required. Tasks / Duties Identifying pathogenic micro-organisms and insects, parasites, fungi and weeds harmful to crops, and assisting in devising methods of control. Analyzing produce to set and maintain standards of quality. Ensure product quality standards are maintained to customer specifications. Perform quality checks. Record keeping. Collecting and collating data for research and analysis of production processes. Planning of harvesting, production schedule and other aspects of production processes. Advise management on growing and harvest techniques and management. Key Attributes Have excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships and liaise with key stakeholders. Commitment to continuous improvement and learning. Self-motivated and ability to function autonomously. Ability to effectively complete hands-on tasks and computer-based admin tasks. Personal attributes: Outcome driven, organised, proactive, and planning skills. Qualifications and Experience Relevant Diploma level qualifications or higher. Demonstrate at least one year experience in a related field. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Experience in the food and beverage industry and Forklift licence are desired but not essential.
