As an Allied Health Emergency Department Navigator (AH EDN), you will identify patients in the Emergency Department who would benefit from a rapid Allied Health interdisciplinary assessment to inform the need for admission or options for discharge. You will conduct allied health assessments across functional, social, nutrition and communication domains and provide intervention, care coordination and referrals to other Allied Health colleagues. You will be a key allied health contact and advocate within the emergency department and will foster close professional links across disciplines, facilities and inpatient, outpatient and community services. This role requires advanced reasoning and practice skills. This role will be required to work weekends, and/or across ISLHD facilities. A Little About Us. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
