The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for one Allied Health Lead Practitioner for CYMHS Youth Mental Health (529953) in the North and one in the Northwest of Tasmania. Our Aim: The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Tasmania is growing! We are seeking passionate and dedicated Lead Practitioners to provide clinical services to young people and their families/significant others experiencing mental health concerns. The Lead Practitioner will provide a person-centred approach and work within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high-level clinical leadership to the team. The role will include: Being part of a dynamic and well-supported team committed to delivering high-quality mental health services to young people and their families/carers. Undertaking clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs. Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new youth mental health services in Tasmania. Leading and working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required. One position is available in the North: Based in Launceston CBD. The North of the state is an area of natural beauty with easy access to the Cataract Gorge, waterfalls, bush walks, beautiful beaches, and excellent mountain biking tracks. One Allied Health position in the Northwest: Office is based in Burnie and Devonport. The Northwest Coast is an area of Tasmania with easy access to beautiful beaches, bushwalks, and recreational activities. An attractive relocation package and support for international visa requirements may be available for successful applicants. Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Satisfactory completion of an appropriate allied health professional course of study at a recognised tertiary institution and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association. Current Working with Children Registration. Desirable criteria: A minimum of 3 years current postgraduate experience in child, adolescent, and/or youth mental health or relevant field.
