In doing this, digital solutions must meet the immediate and long-term objectives of the business and align with the operational business processes with a strong focus on digital solutions. The core responsibility of this role will to be responsible for supporting a variety of applications with a focus on mining and operational technologies. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic small team that will involve some work with configuring and delivering of solutions across the business but focusing on our mining operations. The position is an integral part of the team ensuring that what the Technology department delivers is a sustainable and fit for purpose solution in line with the Covalent Strategic Focus areas. This is a Permanent Full-time position, Monday to Friday working out of our Perth and Kwinana Offices. Some occasional travel required to our Mt Holland site. Key Responsibilities Active participation in the establishment of a health and safety culture. Undertake all work in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with statutory requirements and Covalent policies & procedures. Comply with all health and safety, environmental and regulatory policies relating to the project and ensure a safe working environment. Ensure all health, safety and environmental incidents are reported. Key member of the Applications team assisting with application deployments across the company and ensuring support as part of business as usual activities. Support for a variety of applications as part of the role’s portfolio, with a focus on mining and operational applications, and others as part of the applications roadmap. Coordinate proactive systems monitoring and continuous improvement strategies to identify and resolve possible system issues before they become business problems. Assist in the transition of operational and project solutions to Technology and business support personnel. Assist with the design and development of Covalent’s digital landscape and solutions. Support the roll out of fit for purpose analytical platforms across the business. Work with business stakeholders to identify the application needs of the business to achieve the strategy of the company and the Technology department. Analytical reporting and dashboarding across a suite of applications. Undertake analysis of business requirements, ensuring that Technology solutions are delivered to meet these requirements and ensure that the solutions deliver value to the key stakeholders and Covalent. Coordinate and facilitate business and functional requirements captured by employing recognised techniques including workshops, one-on-one interviews, and data and systems analysis. Assess the business process impact associated with implementation of Technology solutions. Understand and define business and customer scenarios, and design detailed processes through user journey mapping across different channels and touchpoints. Produce and maintain documentation for business processes and for solution support. Role Requirements Minimum 5 years' experience delivering and supporting digital solutions. Experience working in mining and processing organisations in the resources sector is highly desirable. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology or Engineering, or equivalent experience. Extensive experience ensuring that quality information is being delivered to Stakeholders. Experience with gathering and preparing functional, non-functional and technical specifications and other key documentation. Experience with mining and geological applications (Highly desirable). Experience with operational technology (OT) applications (Highly desirable). Experience working with change management. Experience in the creation and execution of test scripts including unit, system integration and user acceptance test scripts. Experience in the full application lifecycle.
