Exion Asia Pte Ltd is a flow control solutions provider under the SWTS Asia group. We are an authorised agent/distributor of several reputable product brands, actively serving the local Oil & Gas refineries, marine, petrochemical, power plants and general industries. Exion Asia is also a leader in repair for valves, rotating equipment and instruments. We have expertise to provide workshop servicing, on-site commissioning and troubleshooting across Asia together with our subsidiaries and associate companies in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and China. Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Application Engineer to join our team within the Rotating Equipment Division . In this role, you will provide essential support to our sales team and collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include: Collaborating with the Sales Team to respond to requests for quotations (RFQs), providing detailed analysis of equipment/material suitability, cost estimates, and design/process requirements to meet customer specifications. Working closely with OEM engineering and sales teams to understand both standard and customized equipment specifications, and generating accurate quotations. Acting as the primary liaison between the sales team and operations, ensuring clear communication and smooth project implementation. Coordinating and overseeing all technical activities during the sales process. Reviewing customer inquiries and related documentation, ensuring that both technical and commercial requirements are addressed thoroughly. Independently preparing technical documents, including quotations and technical proposals, in a timely manner. Analyzing and interpreting technical General Arrangement (GA) drawings and related documents. Working with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing for RFQs and negotiating the best possible terms. Attending OEM and skill enhancement training courses as assigned by the manager. Taking on additional tasks as directed by the manager. Required Skills & Qualifications: Functional Skills: Strong mechanical knowledge, with experience in pumps or rotating equipment being a significant advantage. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Soft Skills: Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. A genuine interest in continuous learning and a team-oriented mindset. Education & Experience: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
