About the job An exciting opportunity exists within our Technology Operations group at SA Water for an Application Manager to manage a large portfolio of Applications covering Maximo, GIS, Scheduling and Dispatch, Smart Infrastructure, Mobility and many others. Your role is pivotal in maximising business outcomes and ensuring excellent user experiences across our digital platforms. You will be one of three Application Managers, working within an Operations group with a high achieving, supportive culture. You will lead an internal team of Application Specialists and Service Providers. This role is pivotal in ensuring high availability, resilience, and security of Applications both on-premises and in the cloud, ultimately aimed at maximising business outcomes and delivering exceptional user experience. A major program of works is currently underway that includes Maximo upgrade to MAS9 and the transition to a new Scheduling and Dispatch system, and this role will be a key stakeholder through this process. Your responsibilities for this opportunity include: Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise and deliver outcomes aligned with strategic roadmaps Implement innovative solutions and automation to enhance efficiency and ensure costs are optimised Sponsor and oversee application refresh projects, ensuring smooth transition from project delivery to operational excellence Drive continuous improvements across resource management, stakeholder engagement, workflow optimisation, and service provider contracts Your success in this role will come from: Proven experience in leading diverse teams and fostering a positive organisational culture Demonstrated ability to manage critical applications Exceptional interpersonal, stakeholder management, and engagement skills Proficiency in service provider, contract, and budget management Success in driving continuous improvement initiatives Experience with Maximo & GIS systems (desirable) Tertiary qualifications in computer science, management, or related fields or equivalent work experience If you are a motivated leader with a passion for technology and a commitment to excellence in service delivery, apply today to join our dynamic team at SA Water.
