Here’s how you’ll be a part of our team: We are seeking highly motivated individuals who are able to commit to a full-time 4 year Plant Mechanic apprenticeship in Canberra (Hume), with a “can do attitude”, a strong work ethic, drive to learn and a strong focus on safety. Working directly with qualified professionals who will support and mentor ‘on and off’ the job A positive and energetic work environment Annual leave, personal leave and Public Holiday pay for the duration of the apprenticeship Access to our employee discounts and benefits program Employee discounts on equipment hire Working as an apprentice in this trade will include: Working on a huge range of equipment (from chainsaws to 36t excavators) Assembling and fitting machine parts Fault finding and resolving mechanical issues Maintenance of equipment including braking and suspension systems Servicing machinery regularly Performing safety inspections Troubleshooting on hydraulic, electrical & cooling systems Attend safety Toolbox talks and contributing to the team’s safety Location: We have 1 x position at Hume. We are seeking applicants with: Mechanical Aptitude The initiative to work through a problem Ability to communicate professionally with colleagues and managers An ‘eager to learn’ mentality Flexibility Reliable transportation to and from workshop Interviewing will be conducted 10th - 14th February with a start date of 24th February.
