Our ICT department has a proven record of bringing in apprentices and giving them the chance to learn and progress into our team. If you have an interest in helping patients by assisting staff with their IT needs and want a hands-on IT job where you can get stuck in, then this is for you. You'll be exposed to everything from our busy service desk to hardware replacements in wards and clinical areas. You'll be happy to do simple tasks and learn how to perform more complex IT support as you progress. This position allows you to work with a team of 70+ dedicated IT professionals who will support you. You'll be willing to put in the effort to learn and work hard to support our Trust and our colleagues. Travel to our community sites will be part of the role, so a full driving license is essential. Responsibilities: Help install, maintain, and troubleshoot network/wireless, telecom, PC hardware, and software faults and service requests. Engage in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support tasks in relation to the Trust's 12,000+ users. Maintain application installation and configuration documentation. Monitor issue tracking system and respond in a timely manner to tickets that have been raised. Troubleshoot and either resolve or escalate desktop or network computer issues. Perform software upgrades and installation. Install and configure software for new desktop, laptop, and surface computers. Add, amend, and remove user accounts. Provide a friendly and sympathetic service to fellow colleagues. Log all calls and tasks on the Trust's call logging system, update and track call progress through to resolution ensuring that requests and faults are actioned in accordance with service level agreements. Carry out any other related and relevant duties requested by ICT colleagues. Conform to the Trust's Data Protection and Security Policy, the Data Protection Act, and the Computer Misuse Act. Ensure compliance with the ESNEFT Equality and Opportunity Policy and Race Equality Scheme. Contribute to a reduction in the Trust's carbon footprint.
