Our client is currently seeking an experienced APS5 Operations Officer to join a team within a Federal Government Agency based in the Adelaide CBD. This Government agency works with people with disability, providers, and the community to deliver nationally consistent, responsive, and effective regulation of service providers. They seek to uphold the rights of, and promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of people with disability receiving supports or services. The Operations and Housing Support Branch supports the planning network through the delivery of core initiatives and projects to enhance capacity and capability to engage meaningfully with participants. The branch enables front line service staff to achieve targets, provides strategic advice on process delivery, and undertakes continuous improvement activities. The Role : The APS5 Operations Officer is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex work. Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and precedents guide the position. The APS5 Operations Officer will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries. This is an assignment from February till 31 December 2025, working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with a pay rate of $55.24 per hour plus super. This role is based in the Adelaide CBD, although some work from home may be available. You must hold Australian Citizenship at the time of applying. Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Providing Home and Living secretariat support for all Home and Living decisions Supporting Agency teams with Home and Living enquiries Resolving issues and complaints Leading and contributing to the implementation of process improvement initiatives Managing, collating, interpreting, and analysing data to produce reports and dashboards that inform strategic and operational planning Contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators, including planning targets Monitoring and actioning correspondence, assigning, and actioning internal work items To be considered you will demonstrate : Demonstrated stakeholder liaison skills to work on moderately complex policy and operational issues Ability to use good judgement to resolve workplace issues Experience coordinating and planning work requests to manage workflow and deadlines Effective communication skills - verbal and written, to facilitate meetings and provide high-quality documentation Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to accommodate change requests Attention to detail to provide high-quality data processing Strong administration experience and good IT skills Previous experience in the disability or health field Well-developed understanding of relevant statutory, regulatory, and policy frameworks and ability to apply to a range of activities and solutions to a range of problems.
