Rare and Exciting Opportunity Available for a 6-Month Contract for an Area Manager to Join Our Parts Distribution Centre! About the Role: The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple teams within the Parts Distribution Centre (PDC), including the KITS team, Reman and Credits, PEX and GET, Dispatch, Inbound, and Outbound teams. This role ensures that all processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the company's goals. The Area Manager will lead and manage staff, oversee inventory control and logistics, and ensure customer satisfaction through timely and accurate deliveries. A key focus of this role is driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Location: South Guildford PDC, WA Key Responsibilities: Team Coordination: Manage activities of the KITS team, Reman and Credits, PEX and GET, Dispatch, Inbound, and Outbound teams. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. Process Oversight: Oversee kit preparation, remanufacturing processes, credits, and dispatch of parts. Logistics Management: Ensure efficient processing of incoming and outgoing goods. Inventory Control: Maintain inventory accuracy and availability of parts. Collaboration: Work with different departments to align operations with company goals. Staff Leadership: Lead and develop staff to ensure high performance. Performance Monitoring: Track and report on KPIs for operational efficiency. What We Are Looking For: Educational Background: Qualifications in Manufacturing or Lean processes are desirable. Experience: Managing large teams in a high-demand production environment. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent negotiating skills and stakeholder engagement. Business Acumen: Ability to manage sales lead generation, expenses, budgets, and data analysis. Technical Skills: Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite). Communication: Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Organisational Skills: Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities. Specialised Experience: Experience with hydraulic hoses, particularly in manufacturing and pressure testing, is highly desirable.
