Area Sales Manager - Industrial- Based in QLD or WA Alimak Group is a global leader and pioneer in vertical access solutions in the commercial, industrial and construction sectors. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Area Sales Manager for our Industrial Division . We are a leading provider of vertical access solutions, specializing in Alimak industrial elevators renowned for their reliability and performance in challenging environments. Our elevators are used extensively across various industries. We are expanding our presence in Western Australia and are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. The work location for the job is currently flexible between WA and QLD and you must be willing to travel between these two states for work. If you have a passion for sales and a background in industrial equipment sales, especially in the mining sector, this is the perfect opportunity. Your main responsibility in this role will be to increase the revenue and profitability of Alimak Group’s Industrial Division in your specific region through effective and efficient leadership to execute the Strategic Business Plan. Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable using modern sales tools and technologies to enhance your productivity and effectiveness. Proficient in Salesforce CRM, MS Office suite, and configurator tool. Industry Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of the industrial equipment sector, particularly in mining, and stay updated on industry trends and developments. Experience of working at height would be beneficial. Key Tasks: Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the mining sector and other industrial markets across Western Australia. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the industry. Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of Alimak industrial elevators and effectively communicate their benefits to prospective clients. Sales Strategy: Create and implement sales strategies tailored to the unique needs of the Western Australian market, with a focus on mining. Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations and close sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships. Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth. Preferred candidate may have this experience: Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of B2B sales experience in industrial equipment, with a preference for experience in the mining sector. Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial elevators, particularly Alimak products, or similar vertical access solutions. Network: Established network within the Western Australian mining industry is highly desirable. Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Travel: Willingness to travel throughout Western Australia as required to meet clients and attend industry events. HSEQ Management: Knowledgeable in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Management. Familiar with trade bodies and health and safety legislation. Financial Acumen: Experience in budget planning, business planning, KPIs, and performance measurement. Solid understanding of economics and proficient in estimating. Commercial & Sales Management: Skilled in commercial and financial management. Experienced in sales management and distributor development. Qualified: Management experience and qualified to a degree or equivalent professional level. What’s in it for you?
