Paid Parental Leave and other great employee benefits. About the Asset Officer role and about you We have an opportunity to join our Customer – Homes and Places team as an Asset Officer . As an Asset Officer, you contribute and support the organisation’s asset maintenance plan through the delivery of appropriate, high-quality services through responsive, planned, preventative, and scheduled maintenance services to your SGCH portfolio. You will manage all aspects of building maintenance, repairs and modifications including scoping, site inspections, scheduling, supervising works, QA and approval of work scopes and handovers. You will manage and support a PAS officer and ensure that the delivery of the annual program of Property Assessment Surveys to assess the condition of at least a third of the portfolio and ensure that this quality data informs our planned maintenance and upgrade programs. This is a permanent role, based at our Liverpool office and requires regular travel to properties in the portfolio and other SGCH office locations, including Redfern. Skills and experience The successful candidate for this role will have: Demonstrated experience in working in a dynamic and collaborative team, delivering enhanced collaborative customer-centric services Experience in life-cycle asset management and planning Expertise in an operational role managing property and asset maintenance service delivery, including quality and safety auditing, delivering projects within budget, on time and to the standard required Good knowledge and understanding of compliance frameworks and legislative requirements (NCC, BCA, Australian Standards, WHS) for property assets to ensure the portfolio is always compliant Understanding and demonstrated capability in construction materials, maintenance, and repair/refurbishment in a large and varied portfolio of property Sound experience managing budgets and resourcing Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills If this sounds like you, please head to our website to download the full position description for further details on the role and what’s on offer.
