About the role The Asset Reliability Manager will lead the reliability function, focusing on improving overall asset reliability and performance. This role involves working closely with the Senior Reliability and Performance Engineer, business SMEs and broader business stakeholders to improve asset reliability through adoption of a reliability centred approach as well as ensuring assets meet Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) targets through rigorous investigation and analysis. Key responsibilities: Operate and improve overall asset reliability and performance. Facilitation of reliability improvements programs and workshops through a reliability centred approach. Establish and maintain systems to set and analyse RAM targets. Lead the development and management of Reliability Growth Plans. Implement strategies for improving asset reliability and maintenance execution. Assess and define the service criticality of network assets. Manage the RCM framework and methodology. Manage the RCA framework and modify maintenance processes. Design, plan, and commission asset changes to improve reliability and performance. Produce and manage change implementation schedules. Assess the impact of reliability actions and evaluate risks. Support the development of asset reliability analysis, modelling and tools. Perform other Asset Management duties and projects as required. About you We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Asset Reliability Manager to lead our reliability function, focusing on enhancing overall asset reliability and performance. This role requires a proactive leader who is technically proficient and adept at engaging with stakeholders effectively, with a strong background in reliability engineering and asset management. Our ideal candidate will possess: Proven expertise in Asset Management and Reliability Engineering. Strong understanding of Reliability Engineering approaches and techniques (RCM, RCA, FMECA, FRACAS, Condition Monitoring). Experience in developing and managing Reliability Growth Plans. Demonstrated facilitation skills to run reliability and asset improvements studies and workshops. Ability to assess and define service criticality of network assets. Proven track record in implementing strategies to improve asset reliability and maintenance execution. Growth mindset and ability to mentor junior engineers. Understanding of ISO 55000 principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
