Water is managed to make sure it's safe and delivered to the people who need it. We manage water to protect our rivers for generations. This contract role will contribute to the effective management and optimization of water assets, focusing on sustainability, reliability, and performance to ensure the delivery of high-quality water services. The rivers and lakes support unique habitats critical to waterbirds, native fish, reptiles, and protected wetlands.Key Accountabilities Asset Management Compliance: Adhere to all relevant legislation, regulations, and organisational policies related to asset management, including safety and ethical standards.Asset Performance Optimisation: Contribute to the assessment, planning, and execution of asset performance strategies, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of water infrastructure. Assist in managing workloads effectively and participate in resource allocation discussions to optimize asset management efforts.Technical Standards and Innovation: Ensure asset management practices and recommendations comply with relevant standards and guidelines. Actively participate in the development and improvement of asset management processes, tools, and documentation to drive innovation and efficiency.Qualifications: A degree in Engineering (B.Eng) in a relevant discipline. Experience in Water, Rivers, Dams, and Reservoirs with the ability to assess and solve technical problems related to water infrastructure. Strong communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders and effectively conveying asset-related information. Ability to prepare professional reports and engage in technical writing related to asset management. An Associate Diploma in Project Management or similar qualifications is desirable.
