About the role Are you ready to take the next step in your accounting career? We’re looking for a motivated Assistant Accountant to become a key player in our dynamic Finance team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, contributing to delivering precise and timely financial reports, preparing tax returns, maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date accounting records, reviewing corporate payments and streamlining receipting processes. Key responsibilities will include: Supporting accounts payable and receivable processes, maintaining the general ledger, handling quarterly product recoveries and completing reconciliations. Preparing journals, managing monthly accruals and analysing income and expense accounts. Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements, workpapers and reconciliations for external audits. Collecting data, preparing calculations and ensuring accuracy for relevant taxes, including income tax, GST and VAT. About you Degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce, working towards a CA or CPA. Strong problem solver, with solid analytical skills. High standard of accuracy and attention to detail. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
