Assistant Accountant | Leading ASX-listed Investment Manager | Sydney CBD A highly regarded ASX-listed investment manager in Sydney is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior experience in financial services seeking an opportunity to advance their Finance career with a top tier business.Key Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation and posting of month-end journals, including accruals and repayments. Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Assist with preparing and processing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections. Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports and support the finance team in analysing variances. Ensure compliance with internal controls and help implement financial best practices within the accounts function. Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and provide support during audits or financial year-end processes. In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to drive positive business outcomes across the finance function. The position also offers a strong emphasis on professional development, setting you up for long-term success.Required Skills & Qualifications: University degree in Accounting or a related field. Ideally working towards CA, CPA, or a similar professional qualification. Experience from the financial services is essential. Specific funds / investment management industry is highly advantageous. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with financial modelling experience. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an eye for detail. Benefits: Permanent position. $80,000 – $100,000 + super + competitive bonus (depending on experience). Sydney CBD location (first six months office-based for onboarding & development).
