As we continue to refine and enhance our course, we are seeking a dedicated and innovative Assistant Course Superintendent to join our team. Working alongside another Assistant Course Superintendent, this role will support the Head Course Superintendent as we take the next step in elevating our course conditioning, daily maintenance operations, and overall presentation. About the Role: As part of a growing team, this role will work alongside another Assistant Course Superintendent to support the Head Course Superintendent in delivering exceptional course conditioning, overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations, and managing key projects that enhance playability and presentation. With our team expanding, we are embracing a more structured, professional approach, striving for innovation, efficiency, and excellence to ensure continued course improvement. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Course Superintendent, the successful candidate will help lead the golf course maintenance team, ensuring the course and its equipment is maintained to the highest standards of conditioning, maintenance and environmental sustainability. This role is well-suited for a hands-on leader with a keen eye for detail who is eager to streamline operations and contribute to the long-term vision of the club. Assist in the planning, organising, and direction of all golf course maintenance. Supervise and support the maintenance team, ensuring efficient task allocation and adherence to course presentation standards. Maintain and service plant and equipment to ensure reliability and longevity. Manage irrigation systems and monitor turf health, implementing best-practice maintenance programs. Oversee projects related to turf quality improvement, drainage, and landscaping. Ensure compliance with WHS policies and safe work procedures. Maintain accurate records, reports, and budgets for course maintenance operations. Contribute regularly to club communications, providing members with updates on course conditions and developments. About You: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in golf course maintenance or turf management. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff. Proficient in the safe operation of turf maintenance equipment. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in course presentation. Sound knowledge of irrigation systems, turf disease management, and agronomic practices. WHS awareness and the ability to implement safe work practices.
