Role Overview: The Assistant Development Manager plays a key role in supporting the Development Manager in the oversight and management of contracts, procurement, and the capital works program. In this role, you will collaborate with the Property and Procurement Team, providing advice to our Villages and assisting with contract and project management. Additional responsibilities include advising on plant and equipment replacement/repairs and supporting sustainable initiatives to drive positive environmental outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and report on capital works projects. Coordinate with external stakeholders Oversee internally managed projects, ensuring successful delivery. Review consultant contracts and provide advice. Draft project briefs, proposals, and prepare budgets/feasibility studies. Assist in the tender process for consultants, contractors, and suppliers. Coordinate stakeholders and consultants across various departments. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation. Support the Asset and Property Team with asset replacement and refurbishment. Assist in the development and coordination of maintenance programs for plant and equipment. Qualifications and Experience: 1-3 years' experience in Building, Design, or related roles Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Architecture, or equivalent Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong computer skills Excellent planning, organisational, and management abilities Willingness to travel extensively across our network of villages Current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) Tertiary qualification in Development or similar (desirable) Experience in building construction and understanding of Australian Standards (desirable) What We Offer: A supportive and friendly work environment 17.5% annual leave loading Great Location - 3-5 minutes’ walk from Town Hall and Gadigal stations Career development and advancement opportunities Eligibility for 'not for profit' salary packaging up to $15,900- Benefits - Increase your package How to Apply: To express your interest in the Assistant Development Manager position, please submit your updated CV and a tailored cover letter highlighting your relevant experience and skills.
