CBR Recruitment is delighted to be working with the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) to recruit an Assistant Director, Training and Secretariat. NACCHO is the national peak body representing 146 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) and the lead advisor to the Commonwealth Government on primary health care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples nationally. Position Overview: The Assistant Director, Training and Secretariat role oversees a small team to develop processes, procedures and tools that support the delivery of Rheumatic Heart Disease and Environmental Health related program and policy initiatives. They will focus on providing evidence-based expertise to identify and advocate for NACCHO positions to stakeholders. This role will be suited to someone with experience in a similar organisation and in managing staff and teams, with a background in public, social, or health policy or programs. Key Responsibilities: Liaising with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and government organisations. Representing NACCHO at meetings, conferences, seminars, and publicly. Undertaking data analysis, research, and broader planning and delivery. Preparing project reports and workforce training materials. Supervising and supporting the NACCHO Rheumatic Heart Disease Team. Leading training and secretariat duties to support the work of the Rheumatic Heart Disease Expert Working Group and other governance committees as required.
