Job Description

Assistant Director - Contract, Finance and Procurement Manager We are currently looking for a Contract, Finance and Procurement Manager to join our team in the Longitudinal Studies section in the Data Strategy Branch. We are looking for a multi-skilled, flexible, hardworking person.The Australian Longitudinal Studies (ALS) has an ongoing appropriation for the department to manage four Longitudinal Studies including: building a New Life in Australia (BNLA): The Longitudinal Study of Humanitarian Migrants footprints in Time: The Longitudinal Study of Indigenous Children (LSIC) growing up in Australia: Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC) the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) Survey. This role will support, manage, provide strategic advice to Senior Management and staff, while carrying out financial management, procurement and contract/project business processes for the Data Strategy Branch, and particularly the Longitudinal Studies. The key duties of the position include: manage project/contract tasks with the team support project/contract capabilities within the Longitudinal Studies financial management – review ALS admin funds in ABR and SAP, payments, monthly accruals, journals, budget, purchase orders, authorise credit card payments prepare all procurement documents in accordance with the CPRs and the departments policies and procedures liaise with management, staff, vendors and both internal and external stakeholders prepare correspondence and reports as directed contract management.
