Assistant Director, Engagement and CollaborationFull-time Temporary with a Possibility of Permanency Details : Here at Community Services Directorate (CSD), we are passionate about empowering people to meet their full potential by building inclusive and equitable communities where everyone is respected and valued.We have responsibility for a wide range of human services functions in the ACT, including multicultural affairs, community services, older people, women, public and community housing, children, youth and family support services and policy, Child and Family Centres, homelessness, community engagement, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs, and community disaster recovery.We are looking for someone to fill the position of the Assistant Director, Engagement and Collaborations, Aboriginal Service Development (ASD). The Assistant Director will be responsible for leading and managing several strategic and operational projects across the Branch. The position is responsible for coordinating the delivery of a suite of project activities, governance, project reporting, research and analysis, policy and practice development, and resource management. The Assistant Director will lead with demonstrated strong cultural competency and utilise a partnership approach to work with the community. The overarching goal of ASD is to support new and existing Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) across the ACT region with expertise in providing high-level strategic policy development, service design, and the establishment and implementation of partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and sectors. The Assistant Director brings integrity, innovation, and exceptional relationship and influencing skills to implement the goals of ASD across the community, government, and the directorate. The Assistant Director also demonstrates strong policy and analytical skills, exceptional communication, and high levels of personal resilience. This position requires a high level of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural competency. CSD is an inclusive employer where all people are respected and valued for their contribution.
