For more information about Merit Lists or Merit Pools please go to APSC's website - The APS Merit Principle Canberra ACT ABOUT THE BRANCH As announced as part of the October 2022 Budget, the Department of Finance is leading the development of a National Security Office Precinct (the Precinct) at York Park in Barton, ACT. The Precinct will provide a permanent solution to the critical accommodation and capability requirements of several national security and other Commonwealth agencies including the Office of National Intelligence and parts of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The key duties of the position include: There are currently a number of exciting Infrastructure Project Manager opportunities to work within an energetic, high pace team responsible for delivering this nationally significant project. Key responsibilities include: Managing the delivery of projects by working collaboratively with all stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. Communicating with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues. Proactively managing, monitoring and reporting on program and project schedules, quality, risks, issues, interdependencies, scope and key performance indicators. Monitoring client and stakeholder (internal and external) satisfaction and constructively managing issues to achieve project objectives within tight timeframes. Providing project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality outcomes are in line with approved project plans. Identifying and collating end user project requirements and developing options for solutions. Working collaboratively within the project team and engaging with other Commonwealth agencies and external stakeholders including consultants and contractors. Taking responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing projects, monitoring and reporting progress against milestones. Planning, directing and managing contract administration of consultants and contractors. Promoting consistency of quality outcomes across all projects. Developing and managing project team and building team spirit. Training and mentoring project team members. Roles within the Branch will offer the opportunity to work closely with a range of national security and other Commonwealth agencies, as well as commercial advisors and specialists including architects, engineers, and construction firms.
