Who we are We are Australia's National Vocational Education and Training (VET) regulator. What we do We regulate providers that deliver VET qualifications and courses to students in Australia or offer Australian qualifications internationally, providers that deliver VET courses to overseas students, and certain providers that deliver English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students. We also accredit VET courses to make sure nationally approved standards are met. Why we do it We ensure quality VET so that students, industry, governments and the community have confidence in the integrity of national qualifications issues by training providers, and that students are protected from any practices that come at the expense of their ability to gain the required competencies. The key duties of the position include About the Team The Digital Transformation Team is responsible for leading and delivering ASQA's Digital Transformation Strategy by leveraging new technology to enable ASQA to achieve better regulation, foster a culture of self-assurance and to continuously improve. About the Opportunity We are seeking a Product Manager to support both the Chief Digital Officer and the Director, Operations Support, through leading the direction for the discovery, design, development, delivery and marketing of the products, tools and applications that encompass ASQA's Regulatory Management System (ARMS). Key responsibilities include: defining the product strategy and ensuring alignment to business requirements managing the product lifecycle and championing the implementation of user needs throughout the lifecycle, including serving as 'the voice of the customer' in senior level management meetings identifying, implementing and tracking the benefits to be derived from new products leading the development of business cases for new or improved product development working with internal stakeholders and third parties to assess and establish partnerships promoting the product internally and externally, including leading product demos, showcases and walkthroughs to key stakeholders planning and producing change and communications for new and improved products contributing to the development and delivery of training material engaging with impacted stakeholders and conducting impact and change readiness analysis being recognised within business and with external stakeholders as an expert in the product, the underpinning technology, and the environment it is impacting providing input into strategic and operational reports and contributing to governance objectives. Skills and experience To succeed in this role, you will have: the ability to work collaboratively within a team, provide leadership support and training to colleagues as required, identify opportunities for improvement, support the management of change and inspire a sense of purpose and direction consistent with ASQA Values demonstrated experience in a Product Management role or similar where the main objective was defining and championing user outcomes through digital products demonstrated ability to turn strategies into actionable plans and to execute on those plans the ability to communicate technical information in both written and verbal contexts, in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audience demonstrated capacity to manage collaborative stakeholder relationships to achieve positive outcomes demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and perform in a fast-paced environment. Desirable: Qualifications in Project Management, Business, Information Technology, or other suitable qualifications. An understanding of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia, including the regulatory framework (or the capacity to quickly develop such an understanding). Experience operating in a program delivery setting using Agile and Human-Centred Design frameworks, including leading the delivery of Program level rituals. An understanding of emerging regulatory technology and practices will be highly regarded.
