The Opportunity The role sits in the Data Platforms Section in the Enterprise Transformation Branch, Enterprise Transformation Group. The Data Platforms team is tasked with designing, building, and implementing the end-to-end data capabilities for the Indigo Project, covering solutions including Master Data Management, Datamart/Data Warehousing, Analytics, Machine Learning, and Geospatial. The Team We are looking for an Assistant Director to join and lead the team to success. It is an exciting time as the team works closely with the Election Systems Modernisation program (Indigo) to define the landscape for the new AEC systems and processes. The Assistant Director will work with the team and Director/Product Manager as required to support the individual business area requirements of the products and ensure a viable solution for implementation. The core design of the foundational solution is pivotal when designing for business rollout and considering unique requirements. This role will help lead the consistency and quality of products aligning to program standards. To excel you’ll have: Demonstrated experience working in an agile operational environment. Significant experience in product development in a supervisory capacity in a Product Owner position with exceptional leadership skills. An ability to lead a team to review and document business processes, identify process improvement opportunities, and frame solutions to facilitate smooth transition to improved end-to-end processes. A demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters that are integral to good product management practices. Experience in driving informed domain improvements across data platforms. Experience in vendor management and engagement. Technical background with experience in software development or web technologies. Analytical abilities with the ability to obtain accurate conclusions and apply innovative initiatives while contributing to strategic objectives. Strong networking skills and an ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
