Assistant Director- WellbeingFull-Time and Part-Time Permanent Details : The Wellbeing team is responsible for leading the development of the ACT Wellbeing Framework, guiding its implementation across the ACT Public Service (ACTPS), and engaging the community and other stakeholders as part of this journey. The successful applicant will be a member of this team and play a key role in a small data team but as part of our broader work program – a feature of our work being that its various strands are highly interconnected. Active engagement across the ACTPS will be essential in this role. Your people skills are essential to maintaining productive working relationships across the Division, directorates and with key external partners, so that this critical whole of government work can be progressed. This position has a focus on the development of the evidence base for wellbeing outcomes in the ACT. This will include an initial focus on engagement with data partners in preparation of the necessary infrastructure for an update of the ACT wellbeing dashboard/data communication in 2025. As part of this, you will translate data into logical, accessible and policy-relevant visual representations and narratives. The work associated with this role is fast-paced and requires flexibility and agility to maintain open communications with our data partners and internal teams for timelines and deliverables to be achieved. This role also contributes to the data and analytical work currently being undertaken by the team with research partners; and the consideration from a policy perspective of how our data and communications strategies may have application beyond the wellbeing project. Knowledge and/or background experience in evidence-based policy development is desirable and would be valuable in this role.
