Job Description

Grow Early Education Hervey Bay is looking for a passionate and skilled Assistant Centre Director to also work as our Educational Leader to help lead the centre to success! As part of the Centre Leadership Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting and developing Educators & Early Childhood Teachers in your centre, as well as implementing the educational program and experiences to meet the individual needs of our children. Our management team is off the floor, in a non-contact position! Working with the Centre Director and Operations Support Manager, you will be provided with ample support! This is a permanent Part Time position, working Monday - Friday, 5 days, 37.5 hours a week. About your new role Assist with managing day-to-day operations in accordance with legislative requirements and company policies. Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to our dedicated staff. Your passion and enthusiasm will see you assisting in leading a classroom by effectively engaging with children, families, educators, and the wider community. Implement the educational program and experiences to meet the individual needs of our children. Effectively handle and manage the centre's staffing rosters and financial requirements in line with budget guidelines. Establish and nurture strong relationships with children, families, educators, the local business community, and all stakeholders. Actively participate in attracting, converting, and retaining families through effective management of tours, enrolments, and orientation in collaboration with our Enrolments Team. About you Hold a Diploma in Children's Services or an Early Childhood Degree approved by ACECQA. Previous experience as an Assistant Director in an early childhood setting. Current Blue Card, approved First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma qualifications. Exhibit an extensive understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). The ability to implement stimulating programs and develop a curriculum based on the children's interests and the EYLF. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Showcase the ability to lead and mentor a team of dedicated early childhood professionals. Demonstrate the ability to incorporate critical thinking and reflective practice into daily operations.
