Assistant Manager/ Manager, Business Services Are you a driven and experienced tax and business services professional currently in a leadership role or looking for a leadership role? We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Manager/ Manager to join a reputable accounting firm. The Client: They are a trusted and established accounting, tax and business services provider based in Leederville. They deliver high-end financial solutions to a broad domestic and international client base and have built a solid reputation as one of the leading specialist accountancy practices in a short space of time. We are looking for a Manager or Assistant Manager level accountant to play a key role in driving the success and growth of the firm. You will work closely with one of the key Directors and be responsible for helping oversee and coordinate tax and business services lines, managing a team of junior professionals and third-party service providers, and fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, providing strategic financial advice to clients, and optimizing operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise a team of junior accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and professional growth. Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs, offer strategic advice, and develop tailored solutions. Monitor and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and relevant standards. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, accounting principles, and taxation laws to provide accurate and relevant guidance. Contribute to business development initiatives and build strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a public practice (4-8+ years is a rough guide but more experience considered). Good knowledge of Australian accounting principles, taxation laws, reporting, and regulatory frameworks. Experience advising large privately owned groups, junior listed businesses, and high net worth individuals. Leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing a team of professionals. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients and colleagues. Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex financial challenges. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
